Introducing Auto Reconnect: A More Reliable Livestream Experience

We are pleased to announce an important upgrade to our livestream player. A new auto reconnect feature has been introduced to improve reliability and ensure a smoother, uninterrupted viewing experience across all networks and devices.
Livestreams can occasionally encounter brief disruptions due to viewer connectivity, temporary network fluctuations, or momentary drops in source video. Previously, these interruptions required viewers to manually refresh the page or reload the player. With the new auto reconnect capability, the player now intelligently detects playback issues and seamlessly attempts to reestablish the stream, reducing the need for viewer action and keeping the experience consistent.
The system works by monitoring the stream health in real time. If the player identifies stalled playback, missing segments, or a broken playlist request, it automatically initiates a recovery process. This includes refetching the manifest, reloading the most recent media segments, and restoring the connection without interrupting the session. The result is smoother playback, faster recovery from hiccups, and a more dependable viewing experience whether you are on high speed broadband, mobile data, or a less stable network.
This enhancement improves not only reliability, but also overall viewer satisfaction. By minimizing interruptions and eliminating the need for manual page reloads, Auto Reconnect allows viewers to stay focused on the live content they came to enjoy.
