New webcam launched at North Lake Tahoe: Watch Boat Ramp Live Cam
Tahoe City, Calif. — September 6, 2024 — HDOnTap, in collaboration with the Tahoe City Public Utility District (TCPUD), announces the North Lake Tahoe Boat Ramp Live Webcam, streaming daily action from Lake Tahoe’s Lake Forest Boat Ramp. Viewers can watch boats launch, trailers queue, and lake conditions change in real time.
From dawn calm to sunset color, the feed spotlights a classic North Shore scene: boaters backing down the ramp, paddlers slipping into the water, and onlookers taking in the views. Early mornings and evenings tend to deliver smoother water and scenic light, while summer weekends are typically busiest.

“This stream puts viewers right at the waterline—perfect for checking ramp activity, weather, and that unmistakable Tahoe light before you head out,”
— Tim Sears, President & Founder, HDOnTap
The fixed-position camera features infrared capability and a 2MP sensor. It’s mounted to frame launch activity, adjacent parking, and passing boats so viewers can gauge conditions at a glance.
