Friends of Blackwater Wildlife Refuge

Friends of Blackwater Wildlife Refuge is a group comprised of individuals dedicated to conserving the wild nature and beautiful wetlands of Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. Their mission is to protect this wetland devoted to wildlife. Blackwater is home to more than 700 species of birds, 220 species of mammals, 250 reptile and amphibian species and more than 1000 species of fish. Migrating birds use this refuge as a stopping grounds while they migrate thousands of miles between their summer and winter homes.
